Long weekend

This coming long weekend will be a busy weekend for us. We are finally moving to our new home....hopefully everything works well. Anyway, we are excited and looking forward to experiencing a new adventure in our new place. This would also be the last write up mummy is going to write in our old home.

Lots of memories we have in this home, from being our first home to the birth of our two sons. Mummy was initially sad to leave this home as mummy's boys were born here. But life need to go on...and go on for the better. We wil have new memories to create in our new home....sweet memories.

Mummy will update this blog once we are settled down and hopefully some pictures too.

It's not about you

I have just recently encountered a new breed of people. It's about people who thinks that the whole wide world revolves around them, not knowing that there are also other people around them. It's not all about you. Why do some people even think that it is about them? It is interesting to observe this type of people. They are always sceptical about others, always thinking that what ever you are saying is about them.

Is this cause by insecurity? Or insanity? I don't know. I am not a psychiatrist. Well, like I say, I just knew that such people exist in this world. I am not sure how to react but from this experience I begin to see people differently. There are always different approach to things.

From this I learnt about perspective. About how people perceive things according to their way or view. How they want to interpret things and how they want to result to look like. It's all in the state of mind. Each conclusion that is made, it's all in their mind and not facts. Why?

Sometimes People Don't know How Lucky They Are

There are times we always think that other people are luckier (if there is such word) that we are. What we don't have is always a must have. Sometimes we don't look at ourselves properly when comparing ourselves with others. We are trying to make take self pity, but actually the real fact is we are trying to make ourself feel better.

I have always learn this lesson, do not compare. If only I have this......., if only I have that....... Some people don't appreciate what they have. They just think that others are better. Be contented for what you have. It is never enough. It is never satisfying. I want to be better that other. I want more. Is this the meaning of real life?

Some people like to compare with others. What is there to be compared? There are many things which I don't have that others have. So why want to compete with me? I am not looking for favouritism, nor popularity, and not even close to be better that anyone else. I just want to be me.

My Joel

My darling Joel, always like the way he brings himself. Always knows what he wants and knows that he will get it. He has a very strong personality and I am proud of him.

Sometimes he could be a little stuborn, but it is OK. He always make his grandparents laugh, especially his Kong kong. His Kong Kong adores him so much that both of them are like super glue. Mummy is happy that kong kong found his new best friend.

He never fails to amuse us with his trick and makes us relief from our stress. Now he is like a parrot, parroting his brother all the way. He admire his brother a lot and sometimes he protects his brother. That's mummy's son!

If I have a choice.........

What would you do if you have choices? Would you throw it away? Would you ignore it? Would you not want it? Would you be so stupid to not consider it? Mummy would want choices, but sometimes we do not have the choices. I would love to be rich, have everything in the world, do all the things that I never had the chance to do and stay at home ....if I have the choice.

This is the struggle that each one of us have to go through in life. Along the way, people think that we have it all, not knowing the truth behind it. Not knowing that it is not us who makes decision, not us who decides what is going on next in our lives. Mummy is most of the time a follower. Mummy just execute decisions made, it could be anywhere. Office, home, outing, dinner, etc. Mummy's new name, Executor.

At some point some people think that Mummy is high almighty. Makes all decision in life and not think about others. Trust me, if mummy had not think about others, many things mummy wouldn't not have done to pleased others. Even when it makes mummy unhappy.

Why are some people so narrow minded and only think about how people is going against them? Many of mummy's friends knows mummy very well and can even stand beside mummy to support mummy.
Mummy is not afraid of the truth and is not afraid of words people say. It's just words and not more than that. Mummy just hope that mummy is understood instead of being accused.

Brain dead

Mummy is half way writing a proposal and suddenly brain dead. Dunno what to write next and ideas are not coming. Too much food maybe over the weekend and the head can't function well. What to write to convince people that my idea is great? How to give an impact to the presentation? What to say? What to show? Any tips? Brain can't think anymore. Would be good if anyone can give some tips too.

Mummy New Hair Look

Mummy had mummy's hair perm last weekend in mummy's hometown. It was a long overdue hair do as mummy had not gone to a hair saloon almost 2 years now. Mummy had been keeping mummy's hair for so long and finally it was time to have a cut.

well mummy have no picture to show but it is indeed a different look. Joel says I look funny and Joshua said why my hair is crumpled. Some said mummy look nice and some says that mummy look more matures. Anyway, mummy is getting used to the new look.

Well, you have to see mummy personally to look at mummy's new look!

Mummy's Nite Out

Well after so many many moons finally mummy had a day out....not even a day. A nite out...at least for 2 hours. Mummy is actually in PappaRich surfing the net and having dinner at the same time. Well mummy is lepaking with Shun and Aiman and all 3 of us are chilling out here. It has been so long since mummy had this type of lepaking.

Mummy's 3 boys are not around tonight, and mummy thinking of the boredom at home decided to have a nite out...just around the corner. It's already 10.14pm and still many many people having their rounds in this place. Now mummy know how rich is Pappa.

It feels good to chill out after the days work. Work has been increasing and stressful too. So many things to do and yet so little time for mummy to have a ME time now a days. So this opportunity is so precious and is like gold.

Mummy had not have the time to even think for a while. Hands and legs constantly moving non-stop and the mind sometimes can't cope. It's like a moving torpedo......going so fast that mummy sometimes don't know when to stop. Mummy is trying to move slowly and hopefully mummy can.

Since recently mummy had some health-stress related problem...mummy is trying to take this easy. Life is more important than anything else. Sometimes mummy forgets that.

Ariel's Potrait

Mummy had the opportunity to take a few shots of Aunty Chanel's daughter, Ariel.

Denise's Wedding

My ex-colleague, Denise has finally tied the knot last month. Well the long awaited wedding was held in Jaya Palace Restaurant in PJ. It was also a re-union for some of us, ex-collegues from the HR dept. It was also a catch up session for some of us where we have not seen each other for so long.

Dinner was very delicious, one of the best that we ever had. We enjoyed ourselves to the max. Joshua and Joel also attended the wedding. They also had the time of their life.

Not active lately

I have been guilty lately for not posting and updating my blog. Everybody has been asking 'what happened?'. Well to answer to all, I have been busy with WORK, our new HOUSE, kids, blah blah blah.... Stress has been a big thing for me now as everything is happening all at once. Never had much time to do anything...especially updating this blog.

Since I have some time today, I thought I should make the effort to write some updates especially for those who follow up on the happenings of our lives.

Congrats to William and Angie

This is really a post dated post on William and Angie's new born, Jareth. Now that Jeremy has a new baby brother, life is definetely gonna change for everybody including the parents. Going back into babyhood is no easy task. It takes lots of guts, effort, love and strengh to go to this level. I salute both of you for that.

Our visit to see baby Jareth last month was interesting. We had treat of Satey Kajang and also pizza and not to forget KFC. We had a wonderful time at their home. It was also time for us to catch up after so long. Wish all of us had more time to spent during our busy schedule. All the best to the not so new parents.

Colleague's new baby

Mummy's colleague recently gave birth to a beautiful baby boy and he is so cute. Few of us from the office made a trip to her home in Jalan Ampang to give them a visit. The baby is so adorable and all of us was so 'geram' and wanted to carry him. He was such an angel that we have not heard any cry from him when we were there.

We wish Magali congratulations and welcome to the Mama club!

Renovation Progress

Mummy and daddy had been very busy lately with the development of our new home. Currently renovation is in progress and is expected to complete by month end. We had the made arrangement with the contrator on Father's day this year and they started work the next day. They estimated that it will take 6 weeks to complete it.

We are extending our kitchen to the max and hoping to get more space for cooking. Daddy was really excited with the new kichen and mummy was excited with her new wardrobe. Anyway work still in progress. Hopefully we can complete this whole process before Joshua's birthday which we plan to have it in our new home.

Well if anyone is looking for a contractor or a person to do the cabinet/wardrobe, can look for mummy or daddy as we are happy with our current one and they did a good job.

Anyone know anyone?

Since we will be moving to our new home soon, we might need few contact. If anybody who has contact for the following people who does/sell this, please let mummy know. Must be reliable and the most important is good price.
1. Curtain
2. Grill installer
3. Paint and painter
4. Carpet
5. Furniture
6. Alarm system
7. Fittings for toilet and for drying clothes
8. Wallpaper

Anywhere on sale now for these stuff?

Shopping for our new home

We have not had the time to go shopping for our new home. We are taking step by step to see what foundation needs to be done first. Now that we are planing to extend our kitchen we are looking for contractors with reasonable and not cut throat price to do it for us. Just extending a kitchen at about 7 feet could cost from RM13,000 to RM23,000. Not including paint, grill, alarm system, furniture, build in cabinet and wardrobe.

Everything is $$$$. But where to find? If we try to cut on our plans, we might regret one day for not doing it. There are so many things mummy wanted to do but no time to sit and think. We are engaging a cabinet designer to design the cabinets that we want for the kitchen and room. She is quiet good and patient. We changed our design few times and yet she still accomodates. If I am her, I will be screaming at myself. Anyway, we will see the result once everything is finalized. Hopefully everything will go on well and that we will have the dream home that we always dream off.

Mummy needs a break

Mummy have been working non-stop for the past 2 weeks and only reaches home earliest 8pm. Mummy is so tired and don't know when is this going to stop. Mummy thought that when mummy recruited new staff mummy would be relief, but instead more work come pouring in and it never stop since then.

Now that the boys are back home, mummy is also sometimes had to spare some energy for them when mummy come home. But one thing for sure, mummy tried very best not to bring work home unless it is very urgent. Especially weekend, it is time for our boys and not so much of work. At times like this, mummy can't quit either. Mummy wish mummy could but.....who knows one day.

We've got the keys

Last month on 11 May 2009, we got he keys to our new house. We were so excited about it and mummy took leave to go and get t. It was not as easy as go any get, we had to fill up forms and pay the final payment on some misc stuff to the developer. After that, we had to go and inspect the place togeher with the developer to ensure that all the fitings are in the house when they handover it to us.

Mummy was kinda impress the way they do thing. We had one developer rep with us, the contractor that built our house and also a staff from the developer's office. They make sure that they run through the house with us and exlain what we need to do.

After clearing all of that, we took our time to go round the house and check it. They gave us 18 months to check for any defect and revert to them if there is any. We were in our new house till evening before we left for home cause so many contractors came to ur house after that t ask us if we want to extend our house. So we got all of them to quote us for the extra space that we need.

It was a tiring experience, but we were excited. Now the real headache starts. We need to plan what to do and what to buy. It has been a month now and we have not finalize with our extension. We roughly have some idea what to do with the house. We are not in a rush to move in, therefore we take our time to do it.

Food in Korea

Mummy and daddy never tasted the food of Korea before even though there are so many Korean restaurant around here. We thought it was an opportunity for us to try out Korean food when we where there. We tried to go to a Korean restaurant before but when we saw the menu, we thought it was not our type of food. Many beef and pork dishes.

But when we were in Korea, we tried as many type of Korean food as possible. Finding a burger is not easy. So far when mummy was in Seoul city, mummy only saw one McDonald and one KFC. The rest are Korean restaurants. But there are two famous restaurants that is in very corner of the city, Starbucks & Dunkin Donuts. They are practically everywhere.

Well, here are some photos of food that we tried and are sold in Korea.

Korea - Part 2

Korea was never one of mummy's dream holiday destination. Mummy always like to go to Western countries. Asian countries has always been second choice. Since mummy have the privilage to travel for free, why want to go to Asian country?

This trip was a working trip for daddy and mummy have not been to Korea before. So what the hack, since it falls coincide with the weekend and mummy only had to take 2 days annual leave, mummy decided why not. Since mummy was not that busy at that time and both our boys were away with their grandma, it was a getaway opportunity for mummy. Mummy needed the break anyway.

Arriving Korean was a breath of fresh air. It was somehow like a little of China and a little of Japan. The city was very clean. Air was cooling as it was end of spring and beginning of winter. Our first day was free and easy. We wanted to see the city and we spend around 6 hours there. We went to their so-called, Petaling Street. There were a lot of things sold there. Most of it are costume jewelry, clothes and food. Well, basically the stuff there are not like China or even Petaling Street in terms of pricing. The most you can get is about 10% discount. Their pricing are somehow standard and not much of bargaining that we can do. Their money's worth is lower than our rate but their cost of living is higher. 1000won equals to at about USD1.

Mummy and daddy spend around RM1,000 for a 2 day stay there. We did not shop pretty much. The sight seeing that we went the second day cost us USD100. But is was worth is as we were brought to a palace and also few other interesting areas. We learned a few words of Korean.

People there like to bow like Japanese too. They speak very loudly but they are nice people. Mummy found that Taekwondo is one of their curriculum activities, the country where daddy got his black belt certification. Everyone in Korea knows Taekwondo. Our hotel bus driver, even asked mummy and daddy to touch his leg to feel the muscle that he has because of taekwondo.

Mummy like the was they speak English, sound funny but cute. Overall mummy enjoyed the whole trip. Thanks to daddy and the rest of his crew that made mummy's stay interesting and fun!
